In the second T20 match on Sunday, Hardik could not get out of line in the third and final T20I, winning the match by 42 * in 22 balls in India’s six-wicket win over Australia.
However, the legendary spinner said on Tuesday that the game of cricket needed characters and superstars such as the Hordic and supported the inclusion of the Test squad for the upcoming four-match series against Australia.

Earlier on Sunday, India’s former batsman Mohammad Kaif also called for Hordik to be included in the Test squad. Kaif is also expected to be back in Australia for the upcoming Test series.
Australia defeated India by 12 runs in the third T20 on Tuesday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. If India had already won the three-match T20I series after winning the first two matches, Australia would have won the last game to avoid whitewash.
India will now be horn in a four-match Test series against Australia on December 17. The first match will be a day-night affair and Virat Kohli will return home after the first Test because he has been granted paternity leave.
The availability of the Rohit Sharma Test series is not clear because his fitness will be re-evaluated at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore on December 11.
