Genoa: Serie A captain AC Milan beat the Puppies Sampdoria 2-1 to stay undefeated in the league this season and five points clear on Sunday.
After the first half, Milan finally broke Sampdoria’s resistance when Frank Kessie scored on a penalty for handball in the 45th minute.
Substitute Samu Castillejo appeared to secure the game for Milan in the 77th minute when he rifled for a second, but Albin Ekdal went back five minutes later to set up a visitors’ nervous final.
Milan have lost 26 points from 10 games, with Inter Milan 21 and Napoli and title holders Juventus 20th. Sampdoria is in 12th place with eleven points.
