Sydney: After a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against India, Australian white-ball captain Aaron Finch said on Monday it was a great feeling to be able to win the series against the home crowd.
Australia defeated India by 51 runs in the second ODI of the three-match series on Sunday. “Great series win, so good to be back on the ground playing in front of fans again,” Finch wrote on Instagram.

On the other hand, Indian players are seen sweating in the gym on Monday in a four-match Test series to prepare for the high-voltage series at Adelaide Oval starting December 17.
Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant shared the picture on Monday with Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammad Siraj and he captioned the post as “Gym Friends”.

Earlier on Monday, Cricket Australia confirmed that David Warner and pace spearhead Pat Cummins will miss the limited-overs match against India. The batsman, D-RC Short, who last played T20I in February 2019, replaces the injured Warner in the T20I squad.

Warner suffered a groin injury in the second ODI of the three-match series. He suffered an injury while diving to save at the start of India’s chase. If Short Warner is to be replaced, no direct replacement for Cummins is named at this point.
