New Delhi: The athletes of the Tokyo Olympics – wrestler Bajrang Punia and shooter Elevenil Valariwan – have been honored at the Fixie India Sports Awards 2020 this year due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.
The two athletes with the 2019-20 season have won Athlete of the Year awards in their respective categories.
The freestyle wrestler, who is currently training in the USA, was delighted to receive the award.
“My goal in the future is to give my best again and win a lot of medals for the country. Such exposure motivates me to do better, and it gives me great joy. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate the rest of the winners,”
Elevenil said, “I would like to thank my family for always standing by me, for my mentor Gagan Narang and my coach Neha Chauhan for always believing in me.
“I would like to thank the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for always supporting us and pushing us through all our hard times, and also for the Sports Authority of India to ensure that we have everything we need.”
The Sports Awards is an effort to recognize and recognize the contribution of the Industrial Organization, FICCI Athletes and various stakeholders that deliver outstanding results throughout the year.
Cricket legend Anil Kumble won the ‘Best Company Promotion Sports (Private Sector)’ award on behalf of his business – Tenwick Sports.
