Kolkata: Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee and election strategist Prashant Kishore on Tuesday met a souvenir official who resigned as minister in the West Bengal government, alleging that all issues have been resolved.
The meeting, which lasted for two hours, took place at a place in North Kolkata.
Senior leaders of the party Saugata Roy and Sudeep Bandopadhyay were also present.
“The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. All the issues have been resolved. The party is united. A face-to-face meeting is needed to resolve the issues. So this has been done,” Roy told PTI.
The Nandigram Movement official who resigned from his post on Friday resigned from his post, joining the political clutches of Mamata Banerjee, who has been accused of ulation over the ruling TMC’s resignation before the state assembly elections next year.
It is said that he is upset about the institutional changes in the Trinamool Congress and the influence of Kishore and Abhishek, the nephew of the chief minister in the decision making process of the state government.
