NEW DELHI: The government has called an all-party meeting to discuss the Kovid-19 pandemic on December 4, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sources said on Monday.
The floor leaders of all parties have been summoned by both Houses of Parliament, which will be held at 10.30 am on Friday, sources told PTI.
He said that the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs was coordinating the meeting and reached the floor leaders of all parties.
This is the second all-party meeting the government has called to discuss the Kovid-19 situation after the epidemic spread.
Top government officials including defense minister Rajanath Singh, home minister Amit Shah and health minister Harsh Vardhan are expected to attend the meeting.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi and State Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will also attend the meeting.
The meeting is being held at a time when parliament is contemplating merging the winter session with the budget session in the wake of the increasing Covid-19 cases in the nation’s capital.
The meeting was held after Modi’s visit to Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Pune cement companies to review coronavirus vaccine development work.
