NEW DELHI: India’s Kovid-19 caseload has risen to 94.99 lakh, but the number of those recovering from the disease has crossed the 89 lakh mark, increasing the national recovery by 94 per cent, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
The total number of coronavirus cases rose to 94,99,413, with 36,604 new infections reported in a single day, with the death toll rising to 1,38,122 with 501 new deaths being updated at 8am.
The number of people recovering from the disease rose to 89,32,647, pushing the national recovery rate to 94.03 per cent, while the death rate for the Kovid-19 case was 1.45 per cent.
The active Kovid-19 caseload was less than 5 lakh on the 22nd consecutive day. There are 4,28,644 active coronavirus infections in the country, accounting for 4.51 per cent of the total caseload.
India’s Kovid-19 crosses 20 lakhs on August 7th, 30 lakhs on August 23rd and 40 lakhs on September 5th. 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28 and 70 lakh on October 11. 80 lakh on October 29, and 90 lakh on November 20.
According to ICMR, as of December 1, 14,24,45,949 samples were tested and 10,96,651 samples were tested on Tuesday.
