NEW DELHI: The National Child Rights Protection Commission (NCPCR) on Monday filed a complaint with the state government seeking information on the complaint lodged by BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra on the allegations of abducting and murdering a minor girl in the Nayaka district of Odisha. Detailed report in 10 days.
The Commission directed the Odisha Chief Secretary to submit the FIR along with the girl’s birth certificate and post-mortem report, along with the FIR and the current status of the investigation and the actions taken by the police against the accused.
Patra on Monday filed a memorandum to the NCPCR president to seek justice for the family of a minor girl who was murdered in July this year. Speaking to the media, he said the BJP had addressed its demands to the NCPCR.
“I have prayed for NCPCR President Priyank Kanungo to form a team for spot investigation to find out if the organs of the minor girl have been removed and the intensity of Minister Arun Kumar Sahu in this incident,” the letter said. “I have requested her to appear before the collector and SP of Nayagarh district and explain why there is an excessive delay in the investigation and why the parents of the victims attempted suicide in the state assembly,” she said.
Meanwhile, sources said that the NCPCR has taken a strong view of the big conspiracy incident including the complicity of the senior politician. “The commission is going through the details of the incident and it is possible to form a committee for spot inspection,” an official said.
