New Delhi: Farmers from the Tundla and Talheri villages of Ambala district of Haryana formed a group called the Kisan Seva Dal on Wednesday to sow wheat and look over the fields of farmers who participated in the Delhi protest.
Farmers announced in the Ambala cantonment that the group will be led by Gurjatan Singh Bow of Tundla. The group will look after the families of protesters in the district. It has released a helpline number (8930830032) for any farmers who help in sowing wheat. Gurjatan said, “There are 40 odd volunteers in the Kisan Service Force. Farmers can contact us to sow wheat or irrigate their fields. We also bear the cost. We collect whatever seed type they want to sow … We don’t take any donations from outside. ”
