Prayagaraj: The Allahabad High Court has observed that an adult live-in couple is free to live together without the intervention of anyone, their parents. The court directed the police to give full protection to the couple who approached it against the harassment of the girl’s family members.
ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳಾದ ಅಂಜನಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಿಶ್ರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಡಿಯಾ ಅವರನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ವಿಭಾಗೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪೀಠ ಫರುಖಾಬಾದ್‌ನ ಕಾಮಿನಿ ದೇವಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಜಯ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಿಟ್ ಅರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, “ಎಸ್‌ಸಿ ದೀರ್ಘ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಹುಡುಗ ಮತ್ತು ಹುಡುಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಜರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಕಾನೂನನ್ನು ಇತ್ಯರ್ಥಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. Living with their own free will, then no one – including their parents – has the power to intervene. ”
“The right to life is a fundamental right under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, which provides that no person shall be deprived of his right to life and personal liberty,” the court opined. The court stated that the applicant should contact the SSP with self-certified copies of the order in case of any trouble.
Applicants Kamini Devi (24) and Ajay Kumar (28) fell in love almost a year ago. She alleged that the family of Kamini Devi was trying to force her marriage with an elderly man against her Ich.
