The latest issue of Rahul Roy’s health update is that he is responding to treatment better than yesterday and has been moved from the ICU of Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital to a room. Speaking to Etyms about an hour ago, his brother-in-law, Romer, reported on this and doctors have launched Rahul’s speech and physical therapy (also known as physiotherapy). “Rahul is out of danger now,” Roemer said.

We had Rahul removed from the intensive care unit this afternoon.

Rewind: Rahul was brainwashed last week in Kargil to shoot his digital film ‘LAC-Live the Battle’ directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta. Nishant Singh Malkani is the main character in the film. After a CT scan at the military hospital, Rahul was taken by helicopter to Srinagar, where he was flown to Mumbai and taken directly to Nanavati in the western suburbs of the city.

The exact cause of the stroke is unknown, but apparently, Rahul got temperatures as high as -15 degrees at the time of the shooting and he was initially a bit lost and confused, after which he was unable to form sentences (known as a condition aphasia).

Romer, who is married to Rahul’s sister Priyanka, is constantly on his side. Ditto for Priyanka. Rahul’s twin brother Rohit is also abroad and is in constant contact with his family members in Mumbai.

We have been praying for Rahul to recover.
