Bhubaneswar: The 2021 board exam for classes 10 and 12 in February and March will be conducted in an offline mode instead of its normal dates, Odisha Mass Education Minister SR. He said that Odisha would follow the instructions given by the Central Secondary Education Board to conduct a board exam using the traditional written method.

However, Dash has made it clear that tests will be delayed due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

“Both the Pure Secondary Education Board (BSE) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) are unable to conduct exams in February and March, as many students cannot access online classes,” he said.

The Minister said that the school and mass education department is contemplating to reopen the schools for students in 9th grade and later, and that the board examination could be conducted after at least three months of classroom teaching.

“We make a decision that is in keeping with the students’ interests according to the COVID guidelines, ”Dash said.

The Odisha government has stated in its December Guidelines that the institutions under the department’s control and supervision could reopen for classes 9-12.
