Bengaluru: All medical and paramedical colleges in Karnataka reopened on Tuesday after a nine-month shutdown due to coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown. Colleges of dental, ayush, paramedical, nursing and pharmacy have resumed regular classes today following the COVID-19 guidelines.

Karnataka Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar has ordered the opening of medical colleges from December 1.

Already graduate, diploma and engineering colleges have started functioning regularly from November 17th.

According to sources from the Directorate of Medical Education, all precautions such as face mask, hand sanitizer use, and maintaining social distance have been taken in medical colleges.

Faculty, staff, and students were told to prepare a negative RT-PCR test report to attend classes.
