NEW DELHI: Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques embarked on a spectacular fielding attempt to get rid of Indian captain Virat Kohli (89) and change the momentum of the second one-day international in Sydney on Sunday.
Henriques, who made his first international appearance in three years, took a scream at midwicket and dismissed Kohli for 89 off 87 balls, a century worthy. Kohli struck out seven and two sixes.
Kohli threw Josh Lazwood well into the midwicket in the fifth delivery of the 35th over, but the brisk Henriques made a fierce attempt to hit the dazzle after diving to his left. Henriques’ incredible effort saw him catch the ball.

Earlier, Kohli added another feather to his prestigious cap as he scored 22,000 runs in international cricket. The right-handed batsman, who is playing his 250th ODI, was 78 runs ahead of the milestone mark before the game. Kohli has now scored 11,977 in ODIs, 7,240 in Tests and 2,794 in T20Is.

Kohli, who is considered a modern-day chase-master, has a good average in batters while chasing a target in limited overs. The 32-year-old has played 86 Tests and 82 short format games for India so far.
