Canberra: India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya says players need to be on their toes when playing against the Aussies after a 13-run win over Australia in the third ODI. The home side won the three-match series 2-1 after winning the first two matches at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Having scored 210 runs in three matches, Pandya scored a decent run in the series. He took four wickets in the second game and took one wicket. His performance won him the Player of the Series award.

Natarajan and the rest of the bowlers are really happy. It’s a lot of story for them. You need to be on your toes when playing against Australia. “Pandya said after the match.
Luck was in India’s favor as Kohli decided to bat for the first time in the series. While the top order failed to shoot uniformly, the middle order rose to the challenge and both Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja won 92 and 66 respectively, leading India to 302/5. Virat Kohli smashed 63 off 63 balls.

The addition of Shirdul Thakur, T Natarajan, and Kuldeep Yadav revived bowling in the third ODI as the team was able to take wickets at regular intervals. For the first time in the last six ODIs, Men in Blue also managed to take wickets in powerplay overs. Aaron Finch scored 75 while Glenn Maxwell and Aston Agar put Australia on a winning streak. But in the end, Kohli and the boys managed to record the win.
Thakur took three wickets while Natarajan and Bumrah each took two wickets. India and Australia are now horn in the three-match T20I series, which starts on Friday.
